Eat for Equity April: May 1st Coalition
The May 1st Action Coalition brings together individuals, community representatives and organizations to advance key workers' struggles and immigration reform at the local level and as a model for national transformation. The Coalition organizes Seattle's annual May Day March and Rally for Immigrant and Workers Rights to celebrate International Worker's Day and advocate a more just and humane immigration system. In 2014, we will march to address the following themes:
- Stop the Deportations
- Deferred Action for all undocumented by Pres. Obama's Executive Order
- End the use of E-Verify and Secure Communities
- Keep immigrant families together  attend to the needs of immigrant children and youth
- Universal Healthcare for all
- Raise the minimum wage to $15

At our (first ever!) brunch, we will dine together to support the May 1st Action Coalition by raising funds to support their march, and to raise awareness of the inequities facing immigrants and workers in the Seattle region.

In March we came together to raise almost $700 for Water1st International for their work in Ethiopia and Bangladesh. Let's do it again this April over coffee and a full service brunch!

While any and all are welcome at this private party, we require an RSVP given the smaller, more intimate nature of the brunch.
